Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Kareem “Biggs” Burke opened up about the beef between Jay and 'Ye: "The last I saw [West], he spoke really highly of Jay. I’m not sure about the relationship at this point."
Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Kareem "Biggs" Burke is shedding a little light on the alleged beef between Kanye and Jay Z.
During his “Reasonable Doubt” 20th anniversary pop-up shop/exhibition, Burke told Page Six that he was pretty surprised to hear 'Ye's recent rant.
"I was shocked to hear what Kanye said onstage. There was never anything rumbling . . . so when you hear these things in public, it’s a little shocking," he admitted.
If you'll recall, Kanye aired his dirty laundry during a Saint Pablo show in Seattle, telling the crowd that Meek Mill and the issues between Apple and TIDAL were the reasons he and Jay didn't appear on Drake's album, Views, and that there will never be a Watch the Throne 2. He also added that North West and Blue Ivy have never met and that Jay didn't even stop by to visit after Kim's robbery.

Biggs added, "The last I saw [West], he spoke really highly of Jay. I’m not sure about the relationship at this point. I spoke to Jay [after Kanye’s rant] and we’re both just like, ‘We miss the old Kanye.’ From what I know of Kanye, he’s usually really honest. So it sounds like something he’s going through right now. He may [say] something like that, and then three weeks later he may be back to, ‘That’s my brother.’ But at this point, with everybody’s career, we’re a little too old for rap beef."
