Janet Jackson Set To Receive Icon Award At 2018 Billboard Music Awards
Janet Jackson is set to receive the Icon Award at this year’s Billboard Music Awards.

The legendary superstar, and 2018 ESSENCE festival headliner, will also perform during the live broadcast of the ceremony in Las Vegas on May 20. It will be her first televised performance in nine years, as noted by the Associated Press.
Jackson is not new to the Billboard Music Awards. The entertainment powerhouse has won 10 out of 18 BBA nominations between 1990 and 2001.
After the honor, she will continue with her State of the World Tour after adding 11 new dates to her North American leg last month. The tour will kick off with her 2018 ESSENCE festival performance on Sunday, July 8, in New Orleans .
The 2018 Billboard Awards will air live on May 20 at 8pm ET/ 5pm PT on NBC. Congrats Ms. Jackson!
