Contrary to what some people might believe, President Barack Hussein Obama was born on August 4, 1961, in Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women & Children in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Harvard Law Graduate is a father, husband, and the first African-American Commander-in-chief. Before taking office, President Obama earned a Grammy Award for the audio version of his first book, “Dreams From My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance.” His second book, “The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts of Reclaiming the Dream,” was also a success, becoming a New York Times best-seller.

President Obama is a leader off and on the court. Nicknamed “O’Bomber” in high school for his fly-guy basketball skills, the President is able to swiftly handle the ball with his left hand. Earlier this year, the NBA fanatic even had a basketball court built in the White House.

Kanye West, Ludacris, and Jay-Z are just a few artists the President has admitted to downloading onto his iPod. “The way that (hip-hop) can communicate a very complex message in a very short space is remarkable," said the President in an interview with BET’s Jeff Johnson. He also admitted that he is still an “old head” who listens to Stevie Wonder and Earth, Wind and Fire.
