Rotimi hails from Maplewood, New Jersey, a suburb right on the outskirts of New York City. “I started pursuing a career in music and acting professionally right after graduating college,” he shares.
Rotimi’s acting resume is building fast. “I starred in the Starz series Boss, which was nominated for a Golden Globe,” he shares. “I also recently starred opposite of Keke Palmer and John Boyega in an independent film titled Imperial Dreams.”
“I started singing when I was six years old,” says Rotimi. “My mother overheard me singing and had me perform at my aunt’s wedding. My first breakout moment would have to be winning the Apollo Theater Adult Amateur hour twice at the age of 15.”
When Rotimi performed for the first time performing on BET’s 106 And Park he became a Twitter trending topic.
“The sexiest qualities in a woman are her curves, smile, articulation and eyes,” Rotimi admits. We couldn’t agree more!
“Once I’m in a relationship and completely vested, I am able to compromise and I am second to her,” says Rotimi. “I respect and listen to what she has to say. I believe that giving a woman security is everything.”
“I am turned on by a confident woman who yet exudes humility and who is also spiritual, funny, educated and sexy,” Rotimi reveals. Cosign!

We know Rotimi is focused on acting and making music, but we could definitely see modeling in his future too.
Rotimi says there is a lot fans may not know about him. For starters, he was a top ranked soccer player during his teen years, he plays piano and he’d rather be in a relationship than be single.
“My role models are Tyrese, Jamie Foxx, Harry Belafonte and Will Smith,” says Rotimi. “They all were successful at dual careers — music and acting.”
We asked Rotimi what he might say in his online dating profile and his answer was equally sweet and hilarious: “I’m a Sagittarius who enjoys long walks on the beach, yet I am a spiritual, understanding and positive-minded person.”
Rotimi has the kind of physique we’ll never get tired of — ab party anyone?
So what’s in Rotimi’s ear buds right now? “I have been listening to Miles Davis, Bob Marley and Drake’s new album,” he shares.
“For the perfect date I would take a special lady to a spa to get a massage then head over to dinner and probably purchase bottle of good wine and get to know the her,” says Rotimi.
Rotimi is single and serious about that mingle ladies. “I would love to go on this journey now and grow with someone,” he says. “Everyone has someone that brings him or her joy and I would like to experience that.”
“My gym schedules usually consist of working out 2-3 times a week,” reveals Rotimi. “I focus on my core, I do 200 daily push ups, 300 crunches a day and some cardio – my workout is a calisthenic based workout.”
