“I am single,” says MMA Fighter Joe Merritt, better known as Joey Slash. “I’m focused on reaching my professional and I hope my personal and spiritual development has prepared me for that special lady whenever she reveals herself.”
Professional MMA fighter Merritt has a pro-record of four wins and zero losses. Put simpy, he’s a boss in the arena.
Merritt isn’t just a professional fighter. He also moonlights as an actor and model. (He took acting lessons from actress Paula Jai Parker.)
Merritt is originally from Oakdale, Louisiana but her currently resides in Rancho Cucamonga, California. “It’s a beautiful city with a small town feel to it,” he shares. “That small town feel reminds me of being back home in Louisiana.”
“A woman’s sexiest quality is her loyalty,” Merritt confesses. “A close second is her personality. Easy-going and down-to-earth women are majorly sexy. Third, a reliable woman is a sexy woman.”
“I enjoy cooking, traveling, reading and meditating,” Merritt shares. “Whenever I find the time to watch television, I enjoy watching Bruce Lee, Floyd Mayweather, Mike Tyson and the film Shaka Zulu. I also enjoy watching Japanese anime because of the detail and the depth of the story lines.”

“I’m impressed by a woman who understands the value of being a true friend,” Merritt admits. Aww, we love that!
“I’m excited by a woman who’s confident, independent, at peace with herself and who knows what and whom she wants out of life,” Merritt shares. “I also get a little turned on when a woman is blunt with me.”
“If I’m thought of as a perfect catch, it’s because I’m a gentleman who respects everybody,” says Merritt when we asked what makes him dream guy material. “I am also very hard-working. I love spontaneity and adventure, so I work hard to keep the romance fire well-lit.”
Our favorite confession of Merritt’s? “I like to two step and cook while listening to Al Green!” What time is dinner?
“I’m a grandma’s boy!” Merritt admits. “She taught me how to cook. My guilty pleasure dishes are fried chicken, jambalaya and BBQ. I usually cook my meals for the week on Sundays. My favorite healthy dish is lentil bean soup with red snapper or cod fish.”
