The past couple of months have been rough for Colin Kaepernick as he seeks an NFL contract after a season of protesting police brutality. In addition to protesters taking to the NYC streets in front of the NFL headquarters, Queens-bred talent Cardi B spoke up for Kaepernick's political stance during Sunday's MTV Video Music Award show.

"Colin Kaepernick, as long as you kneel for us, we 'gon be standing with you, baby," she said after her performance.

Grateful, Kaepernick took to social media to thank her for speaking out and supporting his Know Your Rights Camp. Kaepernick wrote on Instagram, "Thanks so much @iamcardib I appreciate you supporting the movement and @yourrightscamp.”

Still, Kaepernick isn't letting anything stop him, the football star and activist is dedicated to seeing things change. Sharing photos from the recent protest outside NFL headquarters, Kaepernick wrote, "It's amazing to see the strength, courage, and understanding our youth have! I am energized by their character and hopeful for the future!"
