Here’s why we’re in the mood for a mocha frappuccino this morning:

  • Michelle Obama will host a screening of Lifetime’s TV adaptation of The Trip to Bountiful as part of a special White House Black History Month event on Monday, February 24. President Obama will kick off the evening with special remarks and cast members Cicely Tyson, Vanessa Williams, Blair Underwood and Keke Palmer will all be in attendance. Fans can catch a live stream of the event at whitehouse.gov/live. [HollywoodReporter]

  • The Real co-host Tamera Mowry-Housley sat down on Bethenny to dish on how she deals with critics of her interracial marriage. “People feel like they can just come to [social media] and say whatever but I’ve learned to love my block button and I’m just choosing to see the positive side of it,” she said. • Tracee Ellis Ross has signed on to star alongside Anthony Anderson on his untitled ABC Pilot. Produced by Lawrence Fishburne’s Cinema Gypsy company, the sitcom follows the life of a man (Anderson) struggling to instill a sense of racial identity in his children despite constant contradictions from his liberal wife, old-school father and color-blind kids. • Pharrell William’s infamous hat is up for auction is up on eBay. The opening bid for the Vivienne Westwood topper that Williams wore to the 2014 Grammy Awards opened at $200 and has already climbed up to $10,500. All of the proceeds will go to Williams’ From One Hand to Another charity. The auction closes on March 2. [Vibe]

  • Rapper Christopher “Ludacris” Bridges has been ordered to pay $7,000 a month to Tamika Fuller, the mother of his newborn daughter, Cai, born December 9, 2013. Fuller demanded that Ludacris pay her $15,000 a month for child support, but the Fast & Furious star claimed he could only afford $1,800 a month. The judge ordered Bridges to pay the $7,000 for now while his financial documents are reviewed. [TMZ]

  • Niecy Nash’s HBO comedy Getting On has been renewed for a second season. The six-episode series starring Nash, Mel Rodriguez, Laurie Metcalf and Alex Borstien follows the life of health care professionals as they navigate the dysfunctional and humorous reality of caring for the elderly. No premiere date has been set. [E!News]
