South Carolina Senate Votes to Remove Confederate Flag

In a step toward justice, the South Carolina Senate voted 37-3 yesterday to remove the Confederate Flag from Capitol grounds. The push to remove the flag had been gaining momentum in the weeks after Dylann Roof massacred nine church members at Emanuel AME Church in Charleston.
