Carolyn Malachi is known for her effortless blend of jazz, hip-hop and spoken word. In her latest work, a short film called Runaway, the Grammy-nominated singer/ songwriter tells the story of a man who threatens his eclectic girlfriend’s independence with a marriage proposal.
“I think the woman in Runaway is a powerful figure with whom many women can relate,” says Malachi. “She is analytical, sophisticated and strong – yet she wants to make room for love.”
The film features four songs from Malachi’s latest album, Gold.
