It's been one hell of a year for Cardi B and now the rapper is garnering even more praise, receiving nine nominations for the upcoming BET Hip Hop Awards.

Cardi's "Bodak Yellow" has been tearing up the charts and you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who doesn't know the lyrics to her hit song.

Kendrick Lamar and DJ Khaled tied with the rapper, receiving nine nominations of their own and leading the way along with Cardi for the most nominations.

Lamar's Damn earned widespread acclaim and double platinum certification in July. DJ Khaled's Grateful, which saw the musician and Snapchat star collaborating with major names in music, was one of the summer's biggest hits. It's Khaled's second number one album.

JAY-Z and Chance the Rapper landed five nominations of their own, competing against each other and rapper's like Lamar, Drake, and J. Cole for Lyricist of the Year.

The BET Hip Hop Awards air Oct. 10 on BET.
