Watch ‘Orange is the New Black’

The ultra-talented daughter of Richard Pryor is on her way to a Harlem stage. Rain Pryor is gearing up to produce and star in her own one-woman autobiographical show, “Fried Chicken & Latkes,” at Harlem’s National Black Theatre. The production, which runs through June 28, will feature the comedienne portraying 11 of the most influential figures in her life. It’s guaranteed to be hilarious!

See the Roots in Spirituality, Fashion and Resistance Exhibition

Photographer Laylah Amatullah Barrayn is bringing her newest exhibit to the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts (MoCADA) in Brooklyn. “Baye Fall: Roots in Spirituality, Fashion and Resistance” the rich culture of the Baye Fall, a Senegalese subgroup. Beginning next week, visitors can get a sense of how the indigenous community has evolved in post-colonial times.
