Singer and reality TV star Tamar Braxton has filed for divorce from her manager and husband, music exec Vincent Herbert, after nearly nine years of marriage. While the news of their split may shock some fans, the couple has enjoyed plenty of good times to go along with the bad. Here’s a breakdown of their relationship timeline, dating back to where it all began in 2003.
Tamar announces that she and Vince are expecting their first child. “I have a love on top! I am pregnant!” she revealed on Good Morning America. “I feel great and greedy at the same time. This is the most I’ve eaten ever.”
Tamar Braxton appeared on The Breakfast Club and denied any and all rumors of marriage trouble between her and Vince. She said: “We have a lot to argue about. But you know, at the end of the day, that’s my best friend. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him. And…that’s it.”

The Herberts always had their fair share of woes but that never stopped Tamar from defending her marriage and saying that what the two share is real. “It did nothing but bring our relationship closer,” she said of the rumors of divorce at the time. “Because you know, I’m not gonna sit here and act like we don’t argue and we don’t fight. We work together, there’s a lot of things to disagree about. But I think that we’ve come to the point where we know that this is where we are suppose to be.”
Tamar was always honest about her desire to continue growing her family after giving birth to her son Logan in 2013 but on during an episode of Braxton Family Values, the singer shared the heartbreaking news thar she had suffered a miscarriage after going through rounds of IVF. In 2013 soon after revealing the news of her first pregnancy, the star discussed why she and her husband waited to share their joyful news with the public. “Vince and I [were] told we were going to have fertility problems — it was a lot of information — so we had to get comfortable with the fact that it happened on its own,” she told PEOPLE at the time. “We decided [not to announce the pregnancy] until we were both really okay with it — that’s why we waited.”
Herbert was ordered to pay Sony a whopping $3.7 million after receiving an advance from the record label to bring in 5 new artists but only delivered one–his wife.
The couple puts their Calabasas, California mansion on the market for $15 million. Tamar and Vince purchased the 7 bedroom, 9 full and 2 half bath Mediterranean style home in April 2013.
Soon before celebrating their ninth wedding anniversary, the singer filed for divorce.
