Empire costars Trai Byers and Grace Geasley tied the knot Thursday beach-side on Grand Cayman Island.
They were engaged in July and exchanged vows to an intimate gathering of 50 friends and family, as initially reported by TMZ. Whether or not their Empire colleagues were in attendance is unclear.
Geasley once spoke of the dangers of office and onscreen flings, highlighting the importance of commitment and longevity in workplace relationships. “I think that if you do get involved at your workplace, you have to know that this is something that you want to be invested in, and this is just not just something that is frivolous and fleeting,” she said.
On screen, Geasley plays Anika Calhoun who in season one of Empire was engaged to Lucious Lyon (Byer’s “pops”). Off-screen the couple now has new roles as husband and wife.
