Baby Dakota weighed just one pound when she was born five months premature in January.
It's a happy day in the Smith household as NBA Star J.R. Smith and wife Jewel took home their youngest daughter, Dakota, from the hospital Tuesday afternoon.
Baby Dakota arrived five months early, and at the time of her birth in January, she only weighed one pound. Since then, Dakota has been growing stronger with the help of the neonatal intensive care unit at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield, Ohio.
Both the Cleveland Cavalier and his wife have chronicled their daughter's growth and progress on Instagram.
In February, the reigning NBA champ shared a photo holding Dakota for the first time and called the day "one of the greatest days" of his life.
Now weighing 7 pounds and 5 ounces, the couple — along with their two daughters Demi and Peyton — happily welcome their new addition home.
Congrats to the Smith family!
