It’s official, Atlanta’s Wopsters are finally husband and wife!
The most anticipated nuptials of the year, between rapper Gucci Mane and beauty entreprenur and model Keyshia Ka’oir, aired live on BET and kicked off with diamond carpet hosts Karrueche Tran and Kendall Kyndall interviewing celebrity guests like Lil’ Yachty, who brought his mom as a date, 2 Chainz and his wife Kesha Ward and Big Sean Jhené Aiko. One person social media was shocked to see on the guest list was Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak, who arrived with her daughter.
Leading up to #TheManeEvent viewers were treated to well wishes from other celebrity friends like singer Monica Brown and Shekinah Anderson, as well as previews of the couple’s new reality show ‘The Mane Event,’ which will show all the laughs and chaos that led up to the big day.
When the ceremony began, Mr. Frosty himself, Gucci Mane, looked dapper in all white as he walked down the aisle to Bruno Mars’ “That’s What I Like.” The bride and groom’s bridal party followed to a medley of songs that included ‘Moment Like This,’ by American Idol alum Kelly Clarkson and ‘All of Me’ by John Legend. The groomsmen wore matching white suits, while the bridesmaids, which included rapper Trina, got in formation with identical form fitting dresses and blunt jet black bobs.
Finally it was the moment everyone was waiting for. After announcing to the world that as of last week she had not even laid eyes on her dress, Keyshia Ka’Oir appeared, walking towards her groom to Patti LaBelle’s ‘If Only You Knew,’ in a breathtaking long-sleeved, curve hugging gown, that covered the radiant bride in an intricate and detailed beading. Keyshia’s diamond encrusted bouquet, headpiece, shoes and nails also stole the show.
After a few words from Pastor Touré Roberts, which included a few praise worthy words on finding ‘inconvenient love’ and a reading of Proverbs 18:22, Gucci and Keyshia exchanged heartfelt vows and rings before sealing the deal with a kiss and taking their first steps as husband and wife to Gucci’s ‘We Ride.’
