Black love was on full display tonight during the live Emmy Awards ceremony, especially when actor Courtney B. Vance took to the stage.
Vance won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for his performance as Johnnie Cochran in The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story and gave quite a speech.
After thanking his colleagues for their hard work and his family, Vance turned to his real life leading lady, wife and fellow Emmy nominee Angela Bassett (American Horror Story) and proudly said: “To the woman who rocks my chain. Angela Evelyn Bassett, this one is for you girl!”
Swoon! Bassett blushed and smiled from the front row while cheering her husband on during his big career-changing moment.
And the love didn’t stop there. Before the show began, Vance tweeted a photo of his beautiful wife slaying the red carpet with the sweetest caption ever:

Bassett and Vance have been married for over 19 years and are proud parents to 10-year-old twins Slater Josiah Vance and Bronwyn Golden Vance.
