Season 3 of Ballers may be taking over HBO this summer but the series’ leading lady, Jazmyn Simon, only has one thing on her mind: wedding bells!
Set to marry her fiancé (and soon-to-be Psych: The Movie co-star) Dulé Hill, the actress is focused on making sure their dream wedding is nothing but perfection.
Simon admitted to The Undefeated that the rest of the 2017 calendar year will be devoted to planning her nuptials.
“Girl, I’m planning my wedding!,” she said. “I’m planning the wedding of my dreams so hopefully, after all this planning, I will achieve the perfect wedding. I love work, but love is so much better. Love is the best. I’m also auditioning for a movie, so hopefully I’ll book that too. Everybody put good vibes out there.”
As to who she’d save a seat for during the big day? She’d only share the spotlight with one other queen. When asked who she would love to have dinner with, she had just one name to offer -Beyonce!”
“I just need to know how she named the twins Rumi and Sir. And I have a question: Is it Sir Carter Carter or just Sir Carter? These are the questions I need to go to dinner with Beyoncé to ask her. Let’s put that out there. I’ll have a seat for her [at the wedding]!”
Hill popped the question on Good Friday of 2016. The couple met on the set of Ballers and instantly hit it off.
“I met Dulé at lunch,” she told Home & Family last August. “I was supposed to be in Miami for two days to shoot the Ballers pilot and my two days turned into two weeks because I was at the end of the second day and my scene got bumped…I went to set and I saw him, just me and him at the end of the table, and I was like, ‘Oh, I know you. You’re Dulé!’ And I went and we exchanged numbers and the rest is history.”
