Bill Cosby’s daughter, Ensa Cosby, has died.
Cosby’s rep, Andrew Wyatt, confirmed the news to The Hollywood Reporter. He told the publication, “Please keep the Cosby family in your prayers and give them peace at this time.” According to Wyatt, Ensa passed away due to renal disease. TMZ also reports that Ensa suffered from kidney issues and may have been in line for a transplant.
Cosby’s daughter remained by her father’s side after the comedian was accused of sexually assaulting numerous women. She issued a statement last year, saying, “My father has been publicly lynched in the media and my family, my young daughter, my young niece and nephew have had to stand helplessly by and watch the double standard or pretending to protect the rights of some but ignoring the rights of others.”
Unfortunately, this is not the first time the Cosby family has faced tragedy. In 1997, Cosby’s son Ennis was murdered during a fatal robbery. He was shot on a Los Angeles freeway ramp as he was changing a flat tire.
