Though she’s a viral sensation and a clear star in the making, Riley Curry has no idea just how famous she is.
Ayesha Curry tells ESSENCE that her 3-year-old daughter “has no clue” of her stardom.
“I would love to keep it that way because she’s already sassy and has a personality out of this world,” Curry said at the TJ Maxx Women Who Make It Work event.
“I would love to keep it that she doesn’t know what’s going on.”
Curry is one of three parenting and lifestyle bloggers who’ve partnered with TJ Maxx to celebrate the remarkable things women do each day. The 26-year-old mom of two said she’s only recently thought of herself as remarkable.
“I never sat down and thought about it,” she said, “but now that I have I see that I am doing a lot. We’re all truly remarkable in our own ways.”
Ayesha and her husband, NBA champ Stephen Curry, recently welcomed their second daughter, Ryan, in July. But losing baby weight and pursuing the perfect post-baby body is not on her to-do list.
“I don’t like to document my post-baby body because who knows what I’m gonna look like next week,” she said.
“I try not to put too much pressure on myself. I workout every now and then, but sometimes it doesn’t happen. I just became the proud owner of a jogging stroller. I like to go jogging—that’s the easiest thing for me right now with the baby.”
