The ladies relived their girl group days, even the not so pleasant parts.
Adrienne Bailon is not only a co-host on The Real, but a former member of early 2000s girl group 3LW. The group’s other members included Kiely Williams and Power actress Naturi Naughton, who recently stopped by the show to talk about the show’s upcoming fourth season.
During the segment, Naughton and Bailon relived their girl group days, even dishing on their reconciliation.
If you remember, 3LW split after some serious drama. Back in 2002, Naughton told MTV that for months management had been trying to push her out of the group and eventually she left after an argument with Michelle Williams, 3LW’s manager and Kiely’s mom, escalated.
"There was an argument between me and Michelle [Williams], and Kiely and Adrienne [Bailon] are cursing me out. And before I know it, Kiely throws her plate of food all in my face —mashed potatoes, macaroni all in my hair, down my clothes, messing up my [hair]do! Nobody has the right to hit me. That's not what I'm here for... to be physically abused. So I said, 'Get me a flight back to Newark, New Jersey,' and they wouldn't even help me get a ticket.”
On The Real, Bailon told Naughton, “There was a lot that went on at that time that now looking back is just like, we were so young and it was so crazy." Adding, " I genuinely from the bottom of my heart never meant any harm towards you. I think you’re talented and beautiful.”
Looks like Naturi and Adrienne have patched things up, but what about Kiely?
