This 14-Year Old Actress is More Than Just a Petty Meme

Skai Jackson is actually a #BlackGirlMagic gem.

Well before she became a viral social media meme, or her recent Twitter battle where she dragged Azealia Banks down your timeline by her edges, 14-year old Skai Jackson was serving serious CV goals in the entertainment industry.

“I would watch different TV shows on the Disney Cannel like Raven-Symoné on That’s So Raven… and I was like, ‘that’s something that I really want to do when I get older,” Jackson said in an interview with HuffPost.

“This is something I wanted to do since I was four yeas old, and I knew that eventually I would achieve what I want. I just kind of believed in myself.”

Yikes! My Wedding Photo Just Became a Viral Meme

Despite her go-getter attitude towards being onscreen, Jackson has a great sense of humor.

On her initial reaction to seeing herself a meme she shares, “When I first saw the meme, I honestly didn’t understand why people were making memes of me… Then I was going through them and they’re actually really funny. I don’t know who created these but they did a pretty good job because it makes me laugh… I posted it on my Instagram and Twitter.”

I'm dead 😂😂😂😂😂 #skaisthelimit

But this 14-year old is more than just a petty meme. Jackson plans to add more to her already impressive résumé telling HuffPost, “I definitely want to do other things outside of acting like producing, directing… and then, eventually, I do want to get my hands in fashion. That’s something I’ve always wanted to do.”

And Jackson is aware that these ambitions don’t come without putting in the work.

“Whatever you want to do in life,” she states, “just know that you will do it. Just believe in yourself. It might take so many years to finally accomplish that, but you have to work for it. You have to work hard for it. And that’s what I do, too.”

Turn that into a meme.
