TER loves her signature fluffy curls and red lips, but at this year’s Black Girls Rock she pushed the envelope a tad with a pinky lavender lip on the red carpet…
..and a rich burgundy lip mid-show.
In addition to the springtime-loving lip, she moved beyond her usual fro with the aid of star stylist Chuck Amos.
Tracee knows what’s what when it comes to her curls. Having been on set with her (twice!) in the last few months, I’ve learned a thing or two about what works for her mane.
A little product and the occasional use of a Chi Iron to touch up a few curls, here and there.
Chuckie says that “Tracee asked to do something different with her hair, she wanted to go a bit more shorter and at a sharper angle in shape.”
After the curls were set, Chuckie “started pinning her hair close to her head at the nape of her neck, moving up towards her ears.”

If you want to switch lips in one night, follow Nicks advice: “Most bold lipstick are stubborn to take off, but you don’t want anything oily for removal because that could leave a greasy for the next lipstick. I love non-greasy cleansers like Bioderma or Koh Gen Do Cleansing water.” Nick prefers actual paper towels (Viva is his favorite brand) as opposed to “fussy cotton pads.” “First blot off most of the lipstick with paper towel, then soak the paper towels with the cleanser and wipe, it shouldn’t take more than twice to completely get rid of it,” adds Nick.
