Top 10: Barely-There Makeup

Nude lips, dewy skin and au naturale makeup offers us the chance to see A-list stars look more like everyday women. Don't get us wrong— we love seeing these beauties flaunt their professionally "beat" faces— but it's nice to see them wear these pared down beauty looks, too.

Nichole Galicia

Where: The Endometriosis Foundation of America’s Celebration of The 5th Annual Blossom Ball at Capitale in New York City.

Why: A smidgen of smoky shadow added just the right pop of pizazz to this otherwise nude makeup palette.

Nicki Minaj

Where: A sneak peak of her Kmart collection at Fig & Olive Melrose in West Hollywood, California.

Why: While this is not a completely bare makeup look, it sure is understated for the notoriously colorful Minaj. What she omitted in makeup, she made up for with this, um, “dramatic” hand over the head pose.

Mariah Carey

Where: the American Idol finalists event at The Grove in Los Angeles, California.

Why: The superstar songstress was red carpet ready in a totally nude canvas accented with just dark, dramatic lashes.

Where: the Oz The Great And Powerful VIP screening at the Crosby Street Hotel in New York City.

Why: Ambrose glowed in this “no-makeup makeup” look complete with a flawless canvas and shiny nude lips.

Why: Manigault let her natural beauty shine through in this simple yet elegant red carpet beauty look.

Tracee Ellis Ross

Where: ELLE’s 2nd Annual Women In TV Event.

Why: If you’re looking to add a pop of color to your barely-there look, take your cues from Ellis Ross who opted for pale pink eyeshadow.

Tatyana Ali

Where: The 44th NAACP Image Awards nominee’s luncheon in Beverly Hills, California.

Why: Sparkly gold eyeshadow and mauve lipgloss were the perfect choices to give Ali a subtle yet standout look.

Chrisette Michele

Where: The 2012 Somaly Mam Foundation Gala in New York City.

Why: Chrisette Michelle sported this subdued makeup look, bringing all the attention to her audaciously gorgeous haircut.

Taking it Matte

When you’re as gorgeous as Halle Berry, it doesn’t take much to create a wow-worthy look. The star stepped out in subtle nude lips with just a bit of sparkle on the eyes.

Paula Patton

Where: The Disconnect premiere at Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara, California.

Why: A simple coral lipgloss and black faux lashes was all it took to make Patton look divine.
