For New York Fashion Week, luxury fashion house, Alice + Olivia teamed up with KISS Products, Inc., and celebrity manicurist Gina Edwards to create the nail look for the brand’s SS2020 presentation which featured a fusion of dreamy dresses and fresh florals.
Edwards, who’s created dazzling nail designs for starlets like Mary J’ Blige, gave the classic French manicure, a whimsical edit that’s perfect for brides this season. And the best part is, she created the look using press-on nails. So even if French isn’t your thing, you don’t have to be married to the look.
“French is trending again, but now it needs a twist. I wanted to do a retro reverse French,” Edwards told ESSENCE. She nailed the look using KISS Salon Acrylic French Nude Nails.
“We created the half-moon at the base of the nail and then to update it, we outlined the rest of the nail,” explained Edwards. The finished look was a replica of the nails of our dreams, and namely, the one where we’re walking down the aisle in a wedding dress.
