It seems that making us Stan for her beauty look isn’t enough for megastar Lizzo these days. So for the 2019 American Music Awards the singer gave us not one, not two, but three different beauty looks to get excited about.

For her red carpet arrival, the “Jerome” singer sported the ever-popular retro flip ponytail with radiant sunrise makeup to match her bright orange Maison Valentino ruffle dress.

“For the red carpet I wanted it to be all about skin with soft pops of color and a statement lash,” makeup artist Alexx Mayo told ESSENCE about the singer’s first beauty look.

For her performance, she somehow lost her shoes, but clearly didn’t need them as all eyes were on her fierce purple makeup that matched her gorgeous purple ruffled gown. The entire look was ethereal and euphoric, with Maddy-like eye gems and dramatic shadow. But Mayo says that it wasn’t necessarily a nod to the popular HBO show.

“I try not to think about trends and what’s hot,” he said. “I like to think about a sense of timelessness, but still maintaining something fresh and modern.”

Euphoria inspired or not, it was a gorgeous look for the beauty. Mayo topped it off with a deep mauve lip for her final look of the awards. Each look was achieved using Urban Decay products, for which Lizzo is an ambassador, including Stay Naked Weightless Liquid Foundation, Hi-Fi Shine Lip Gloss, the Party Favor Moondust Palette, and the Born To Run Palette in several shades. He also added KISS Lash Couture Triple Push Up Collection in Teddy to add drama to her eyes.

“Every event that we go to is an opportunity to try something new. I do what I feel, and Lizzo’s music really paints a picture for me,” he concluded. “Every time we glam it’s an evolution of growing and learning at the same time. The makeup evolves and reflects experiences I have and the inspiration I see.”
