What’s In Her Bag?

Celebrity makeup artist, Stephanie Flor is the go-to for musical heavy weights like Eve and Mariah Carey. We caught up with her to find out her favorite products and the must-haves she always keeps in her kit.

Skin Quencher

“I always use this to prep the skin so it looks flawless before applying foundation. Its oil-free, regulates shine and mattifies the skin. I like to use it after moisturizer to hold makeup and also keep the skin fresh and hydrated. It’s also really great to re-hydrate makeup throughout the day and give skin a dewy finish. “

Simple Statement Eye

“During the summer I like to keep the skin looking natural while also adding a pop of color with a fun shadow. MILK eye pigments come in incredible shades and are super fun to use for any look. Whether lined along the lash line or as a full lid shadow. I’ve been using it for editorial fashion when my clients want to have a little fun—they’re definitely the perfect way to transition a look from day to night or create a look that makes a statement.”

The Everyday Stain

“For a natural dewy look, this lip and cheek oil is my obsession. It reminds me of the gelée trend in Korea and I love to use them on the center of the lip and on the cheeks for a touch of color while still looking natural. The applicator is super easy to use, and delivers just enough of the product.”

05
Ultimate Lash Volumizer

“For dark and really intense lashes, this mascara is the way to go. I start by curling the lashes first and then work the mascara from root to tip. The formula is super pigmented so I get bold lashes with less work; and it even works with sensitive eyes.”

Clinique Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara $17, at macys.com

06
Skin Perfector

“Not only does this come in a variety of shades, but it’s also really great and evening skin tone.” When I’m working on long day sets, or with clients that need makeup to last all day, this is my go-to foundation. It makes the base still look like skin while giving me the coverage I need. The amber shade is a must for dark skin tones; it neutralizes any grayness and adds warmth to the skin instantly.”

Clinique Even Better Makeup SPF 15 ($27, at Nordstrom.com)

07
Perfect Set

“For makeup that lasts all day, I use this finishing spray; it holds makeup for 16 hours no matter how hot it is outside. It basically ‘life-proofs’ my makeup, and the formula incorporates a technology that keeps the skin cool so the makeup never melts.”

The Makeup Finishing Spray ($29, skindinavia.com)

08
Perfect Merlot Lippie

“I love this lip color– Shea butter, jojoba oil and vitamins E to soften and condition and nourish the lips without cutting back on color. Who doesn’t moisturizing lip gloss that has long wear and high shine?”

Shea Moisture Ultra Shine Lip Glass Reina ($9.99, drugstores)
