It’s official: summer has begun. Week to week, celebrity beauty moments from skin-first makeup to slicked back hair, are at the top of our editors’s feeds. And, this week, our favorite stars gave a look into what we can expect from the season ahead.
Solange directed her summer series, Eldorado Ballroom Houston, in a half-slicked pouf and full face of ILIA Beauty. Like Solange, Actress Myha’la Herrold seconded minimal makeup as a summer trend, attending a special evening with Miu Miu in just a foundation tint, skinny brow, and a mix of Victoria Beckham Beauty’s Eyeshadow Sticks and MAC’s Connect In Colour Eyeshadow Palette.
However, Doechii’s makeup artist Dee Carrion made space for maximal makeup this season, drawing an infinite beat using a smorgasbord of products, but namely Blend Bunny Cosmetics Palettes for her graphic eye look and Danessa Myricks’s Colorfix in the shade “Quiet Storm” on her lips.
While the week was product heavy (lucky for the ones looking to recreate their looks), some celebrities still retained the nuance of beauty. Makeup artist Harold James turned a slick-haired Laura Harrier into a pink-blushing beauty (to match her Versace gown) and a brown lip that rejected harsh lines. Her friend, Lori Harvey, had her hair preoccupied with rollers while she sipped a martini, which was cradled into her micro-French tipped manicure. To close the week, Martine Rose presented her SS26 collection, which offered a rule-defying approach to beauty: face-shielding bangs and a brushed out mane.
