How to Wear Green Eye Shadow Like Beyonce

Because now is the best time to start playing with color.

By Virginia Lowman · November 24, 2015October 27, 2020

Queen Bey

Beyoncé’s Instagram is proof that she’s always photo ready. And, on our list of head-turning celebs, Queen Bey is often number one. So, of course when she does something outside of the beauty norm, we take notice. The past few seasons, runways, red carpets and street style have been full of the “natural” beauty look Think: neutral palettes and nude smokey eyes. So, this emerald green smoky eye that she sported at the Cotto vs Alvarez fight in Vegas last weekend was a refreshing pop of color that we haven’t seen in quite a while. Here’s how you can incorporate some color into you routine, too!

Line your lower lash line and brighten the inner corners of your eyes with a champagne shadow. For long-wear and better control, we love Milani Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadow in Bella Champagne.

Line ‘Em Up!

Add one last touch of green by lining your lower lash line with a complimentary liner. We love Rimmel London Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Liner Pencil in Jungle Green.

Add a Little Kohl

For a little bit of drama, line the outter corners of your lower lash line with a black kohl. Our kohl of choice is Laura Mercier Kajal D’Orient Liner.

Lash Out

Complete the look with two coats of your favorite all-in-one mascara. Start with a single coat on your bottom lashes first, to avoid leaving mascara residue on your lids. For the perfect lashes, we love Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kll Mascara.

$32, available at sephora.com
