Beyoncé Is Making This Unexpected Beauty Trend Hot For Spring

Along with a new season comes brand new beauty trends to try. And who else, but the queen herself, could make the best case for a bold and completely out-of-the-box lipstick shade for spring?

At the sight of warm weather and fresh blooms, Beyoncé didn’t opt for pretty pastels, subtle nudes and the soft, standard pinks we’re all used to wearing this time of the year. Instead, the superstar decided to embrace ’90s grunge makeup for her latest Instagram posts.

In between filming videos in Jamaica with her husband, Jay-Z, and preparing for a worldwide tour, Beyoncé took the time to twirl on her haters on Instagram, wearing a long, white Temperley London vintage-style dress and translucent Tom Ford pumps. However, it was the dark, black lipstick she was sporting on her pout that immediately caught our eyes.

Ladies, this is proof you don’t have to completely abandon your plum, wine and dark berry shades of lipstick during spring and summer. As seen on Beyoncé, black lipstick can add just the right touch of contrast to your light and colorful wardrobe this season.

If you prefer a less severe shade than what Queen Bey is rocking, you can achieve equally flattering results by swiping on an almost-black or deep burgundy hue that contains a hint of red. To ensure your darker-colored lips are poppin’ from now through summer, don’t forget to apply lip gloss or a liquid balm so you don’t end up with a dry, matte finish.
