When you’re in the presence of Black women, it’s hard not to be entranced by their melanin-rich complexion, elaborate hairstyles, and brazen beauty. That’s why we’re captivated by the thousands of women in attendance at this year’s Essence Festival.
These queens embody Black beauty, and day two of the “party with a purpose” only provided us with proof. Festival-goers took to the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in eccentric looks that were a vision of color, and texture giving us that familiar #blackgirlmagic aesthetic.
