“It’s about more. We always want more,” McGrath proclaimed during an intimate gathering of beauty editors on Friday to unveil her latest limited edition — and sure to be sold out in seconds — makeup product.
Not to be outdone by the rest of the cosmetic brands, McGrath has concocted a sublime collection of liquid matte lipsticks entitled LiquiLUST 007 launching mid-November (just in time for the holidays)
We first got a glimpse of these mesmerizing lippies on the runway of Valentino’s Spring/Summer 2018 show, which McGrath says are a version of her glitter lip kit LUST 004 — but a bit easier to wear. The six saturated hues range from a soft nude to a deep violet. And true to McGrath’s magical touch there are also tiny pots of crystalline micro-fine glitter to take your pout to the next level.
The lipsticks are available for purchase individually for $38 or in kits that include three of the hues and a pot of glitter for $78. If you want everything (who doesn’t?) that will cost you a smooth $150.
Matte lipstick buffs will love the fact that the pigments never harden or crack — making them super buildable. McGrath suggests applying with the wand or your finger then “use a fluffy eyeshadow brush to blend and feather to create an ombré effect.” Done and done.
