When you think of Fenty Beauty, you think of inclusivity, representation, and the next-generation of beauty. So, when the brand announced Wednesday that they had chosen their first ever brand ambassador, we weren’t surprised to learn they had tapped The Hate You Give actress Amandla Stenberg who embodies the same ethos.
The 20-year-old has been vocal on issues surrounding identity, cultural appropriation, and the gender binary, while the brand has aimed to make “all feel beautiful and recognized, no matter their race, ethnicity, culture or personal style” since its inception. It’s easy to see that the relationship between Stenberg and Fenty is the perfect marriage.
“I wanted to become a part of the Fenty Family because it’s one of the few beauty brands that make me feel like myself!”, Stenberg shared in an Instagram post. “Fenty Beauty’s whole ethos makes me feel empowered and excited to let different facets of myself shine.”
