Black TV royalty showed up in droves for the Emmys afterparties, proving again in just one night that Black beauty reigns on the red carpet. From the leads of Black Lady Sketch Show, to the ladies of Insecure and more, the beauty was just as present as the talent.
Ponytails were bigger, eyeshadows were more vibrant, and of course eyelashes became more dramatic. Even Regina King pulled a quick hair switch to slay the afterparties, going from a wavy bob to a long textured ponytail wrapped in gold. There were gunmetal smoky eyes, purple lips, and glittery green shadows. It was a reminder that when we show up, we show out, and we love a good reason to party.
