When the ladies of The Bawse conference in Miami were asked to draw inspiration from one of the most iconic movies in modern Black culture, they jumped at the opportunity. The Harlem Nights themed gala was the type of fashion and beauty spectacular you could expect from a room full of bawses who take pride in serving a lewk.
Feather boas, fringed dresses, and fur stoles were in abundance. So were smoky eyes, red lips, and headpieces so beautiful and elaborate that you’d want to go back to the Roaring 20s to be a flapper.
