Your lips need just as much hydration and sun protection as your face and body. There’s nothing worse than constantly needing to apply lip balm because they’re burned. The SPF in this balm protects you from possible burns and wind chafing, while the aloe vera and vitamin E helps to soothe in case you’ve already suffered from the elements.

Nicka K Gel Eyebrow Pomade
Brow pomades are clearly year round necessities. But this particular pomade is one of my favorites because it lasts through heat and sweat. If the rest of my beat happens to melt away, I can rely on my brows to stay put together with this must-have. Because it’s a pomade it goes on smooth and dries quickly, keeping my curly brows in place.

Absolute New York Hydrating Mask
This mask might be touted as a K-Beauty product, but it still works for my Black beauty. If a product can cool down skin temperature and also hydrate, I’m all in. With lemongrass and aquaporin (little water carriers) essence, it’s all about nourishing the skin. I like it after a day of sunbathing at the beach or pool, or even at the end of a stressful week when there was more wine than water. It gives my skin a hydro boost.

This coconut infused primer spray is great for priming and setting, but on a really hot summer day I’m likely to use it to cool down my face. There are lots of mists out there that feel cool and refreshing, but they don’t always keep your face intact when you’re wearing full makeup. Because its first function is to prime and set, it helps keep your face together while it offers relief.

GoodWipes Down There Wipes
The same way my face needs a quick refresher on a hot, sticky summer day, so do my lady parts. These wipes smell so light and fresh, just like a spritz of rosewater. I’m always weary of putting new things down there, so I swiped cautiously. There was no burning, no irritation, no angry response from any of my private parts (front or back). And they’re flushable, which is necessary if you use them after anything north of number one.
