Congratulations are in order for Cassie and her celebrity fitness trainer husband, Alex Fine. Just a few weeks shy of their four-month wedding anniversary, the newlyweds welcomed their first child, Frankie Fine, on December 6, reports TMZ. And while we’re waiting for the new parents to share photos of their bundle of joy with the world, we’re reminded of all the lessons Cassie taught us throughout her pregnancy.
For the past nine months, the 33-year-old has remained pretty low-key. But through a series of Instagram posts, the singer indirectly taught us a few lessons about self-care and body positivity.
Here are the five lessons we learned from baby Frankie’s mama.
Lesson 1: Drink plenty of water. Staying hydrated is important for your overall health, but it’s also critical for keeping your skin supple and free of blemishes brought on by stress (e.g., pregnancy). As far as we’re concerned, Cassie never had a bad skin day while with child.
Lesson 2: Love your body. Throughout our lifetime, it will go through plenty of changes. It is to be celebrated and not covered, commended and not criticized.
Lesson 3: Make mental health a priority. It isn’t always easy to navigate your thoughts. That’s why women like Cassie turn to support groups to help make the task a little bit easier. “It’s a reminder that we’re not alone…,” shared Cassie in an Instagram post.
Lesson 4: Relax. Whether it’s going pantless or cuddling up in your favorite sweater on self-care Sunday, determine what works for you and do that—a lot.
Lesson 5: Treat yourself. Or get some friends who will. Nothing makes a girl feel better than luxuriating in a rich body oil or penciling her thoughts into her favorite journal.Share :
