Last night, Aduba nabbed the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for her role in Orange is the New Black as Suzanne “Crazy Eyes” Warren (the OITNB cast also took home the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series!).

She emotionally thanked the show’s creator, Jenji Kohan, as well the show’s cast and crew, who she said that she loved “desperately.”

Staying humble, Aduba gave us a glimpse back at her acting roots.

“I just really, really, really truly want to say, the day I got this job was the day I had stopped acting,” she recounted. “To be in a room with all you amazing human beings, amazing talents, for what I respect so much and love so much, is really, truly the greatest honor.”

Congratulation, Uzo! You deserve it.
