The annual Costume Institute Gala delivered lots of oohs and aahs on the red carpet.
Fashion’s big night out happened at the Met Gala last night. The annual Costume Institute Gala delivered lots of oohs and aahs on the red carpet.
There was Solange going “Afro-punk” decked in Kenzo and showing a little leg. Her big sis Beyonce—an honorary co-chair of the annual event—hit the carpet in a custom-made Givenchy Haute Couture skirt embroidered with flames. She paired it with a python leather corset, matching boots and gloves. Kerry Washington wowed in a purple and black Vera Wang gown with a low-plunging neckline.
British actress and ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood honoree Naomie Harris radiated in a violet Donna Karan Atelier gown with feathers. Alicia Keys channeled her inner punk (that was the gala’s theme) with a black leather and sequence gown by designer Jason Wu.
In all, there were plenty of style stars on the carpet. In your opinion, who owned the night?
