Issa Rae kept it all the way real on Sunday, when she told a reporter at the Emmys that she was “rooting for everybody black.” Needless to say, Rae’s comments didn’t go unnoticed by those who don’t understand racism.

doesn't get anymore racist than that folks

But God forbid a white person say they're rooting for all white people...racist much?!

@IssaRae YOU ARE AWARE THIS IS RACISM, RIGHT?!

— Trump Daily Network (@TrumpDailyNtwk) September 17, 2017
Let’s be real, no one in a ‘Make America Great Again’ hat has room to call anyone racist. Rae responded to her Trump-loving hater with the best and simplest response, ”Sure, Jan.”

The Emmys were a night of Black excellence with Donald Glover, Lena Waithe, and Sterling K. Brown landing incredible wins. While Rae’s Insecure didn’t receive any Emmy nominations, the star is still riding high with a number of projects in the works including roles in The Hate U Give and Empress of Serenity and a producer credit on Minimum Wage.
