We knew that Jennifer Hudson’s musical tribute to Prince at the 2016 BET Awards would be epic. The woman can sang! And she certainly did that — and well — as she belted out a moving rendition of “Purple Rain” on Sunday night.
What we didn’t expect was for JHud’s outfir to be a spot on homage to Prince’s iconic style. The 34-year-old singer hit the stage in a white hooded tux jacket (worn as a short dress), which looked exactly like the ivory hooded suit that Prince wore at the 31st Annual People’s Choice Awards in 2005.
