Hollywood’s biggest night has arrived. As stars from around the world step onto the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre, the Academy Awards set the stage for breakthrough talent, legendary filmmakers, and unforgettable fashion moments. From emotional wins to show-stopping style, the ceremony once again celebrates the very best in film.
Teyana Taylor, who is Oscar-nominated for Best Supporting Actress, arrived at the ceremony in custom Chanel by Matthieu Blazy. Wearing the pixie cut, by Edith Donaldson-Wheeler, she’s been sporting throughout awards season, she stepped out in a black-and-white embellished gown. The ensemble featured a sheer panel that revealed her midriff and a dramatic feathered train. Diamonds around her neck glistened from miles away, paired with delicate teardrop earrings, creating a classic look for the artist.
ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Awards honoree Chase Infiniti arrived on the carpet channeling Old Hollywood glamour. Her lavender gown, by Louis Vuitton, featured a sweetheart neckline, sultry draping, and a long ruffled train that cascaded to the side of her body. Known for embracing natural hairstyles on the carpet, this time, Infiniti wore boho braids, created with Bellami Hair extensions, by stylist Coree Moreno.
Jayme Lawson arrived at the award ceremony in a blue feathered gown featuring an oversized skirt that cascaded dramatically to the ground. The royal-blue look was anchored by a halterneck silhouette that kept the statement design refined and structured. For her hair, she opted for a slicked-back, spiky bun that framed her face perfectly.
Marsai Martin is truly stepping into a lane of her own. She wore a face-framing bob styled in soft curls. Her brown satin gown featured a figure-hugging boned corset that draped beautifully to the ground. She completed the look with a brown choker and matching earrings adorned with diamond embellishments—adding a subtle touch of sparkle.
Ryan Destiny opted for a dress shirt–inspired silhouette from AMI Paris styled by Law Roach. The bodice featured a plunging neckline designed like a black button-up shirt, cinched at the waist with a structured band before flowing into a Cinderella-style black velvet skirt that grazed the ground. She accessorized with a delicate diamond drop necklace that sat perfectly at the center of the cleavage. For her hair, Destiny wore her golden-brown strands down to her waist in a middle part with soft wand curls.
