Each and every year, ESSENCE takes a moment to recognize six amazing women at its Black Women in Hollywood luncheon during Oscar week.
This Sunday, February 17, join ESSENCE and an AMC theater near you in watching six films featuring this year’s notable honorees.
At 10:00 a.m. see Beasts of the Southern Wild starring honoree Quvenzhané Wallis. At 11:50 a.m. watch Naomi Harris in the action packed James Bond thriller Sykfall. At 2:30 p.m. check out Oprah Winfrey in the 1985 film The Color Purple. At 5:45 p.m. see Alfre Woodard in The Family That Preys. At 7:55 p.m. watch Sparkle written and produced by Mara Brock Akil. And to wrap up the night, check out Gabrielle Union in Daddy’s Little Girls at 10:05 p.m.
Tickets for each movie are $7.
