ESSENCE and the Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now Inc. (FFAWN) partnered for "An Afternoon of Inspiration," sponsored by Southern Company. The event, held during the 2010 ESSENCE Music Festival, sought to shine a light on FFAWN and local New Orleans "she-roes" doing work in their communities.
