“Everyone has a purpose,” she says, “and you have to learn to receive. It took me a while to realize this, but it’s easy to forget if you’re always doing for others.”
Although it wasn’t always easy, Blackamore realized after ten years of nursing [in oncology] that her work was, in fact, too depressing. So she went to cosmetology school at night while working as a nurse and caring for her two small children and husband.
Wise words: “People need to take charge of their own destiny. Talk to God. I wouldn’t be where I am if it weren’t for Him.”
Age-defying secret #1: “My husband and I love to dance and go bike riding. I enjoy working in my garden and vintage shopping."
Age-defying secret #2: “There are three products from Orenda International I would not be without: the AntiAging Serum, O-Tropin Sub-Linqual Spray and All In One Female Vitamin. The serum has my skin looking fabulous and the spray and the vitamins give me so much more energy at the gym.”
Blackamore has been running a spa out of her home for several years, clearing up skin, and making women happy on a daily basis.
“I love doing what I do.”
On her hair: “I started graying when I was 19, which is also when I started coloring. When I hit 50, I said, ‘Enough!’ I’ve learned to embrace it [my hair color]. I’m not running from it anymore.”
