I Turn My Camera On, Episode 9: Lance Gross & Logan Browning Have An Emotional Conversation About Losing A Parent
On this week’s episode of I Turn My Camera On, Lance Gross sits down with talented film and television actress Logan Browning.
Although the conversation begins with the two discussing their interpretation of what it means to embrace the concept of mastery, the discussion takes a different turn shortly after.
“For me, [mastery] is just perfecting whatever it is you do in life,” Lance says. “It could be your career, it could be you wanting to be the best father you can be. Anything.”
For the Dear White People and Hit The Floor star, the definition of the concept is largely rooted in the practice of perseverance when facing failure or defeat.
“When I think about mastery, I think about failing and continuing on anyway, despite it all,” she says. “Trying something, doing everything you can in terms of the skill and the knowledge and the preparation and the wisdom and the advice in order to get to that thing that you desire.”
Lance ultimately shifts the discussion slightly with a question about what brings Logan the most joy, which leads both entertainers to share deeply personal and painful memories tied to their last moments with their fathers before they passed away.
