The woman who paid to get R. Kelly out of Cook County jail earlier this year wants her money back, but a judge ruled Tuesday that that isn’t going to happen any time soon.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Valencia Love doled out $100,000 in February to free R.Kelly that bought him about four months of freedom before he was arrested once again on federal charges.

Love’s attorney, John Collins, is now seeking the return of the money, arguing that when she handed up the cash, Love didn’t know about the federal investigations into the singer.

Collins argued that it made no sense for Love to be denied her money as Kelly is now being held without bond in the federal cases in New York and Chicago.

However, Judge Lawrence Flood dismissed the motion, saying there is no legal basis for the return of the funds.

The money could be returned to her once Kelly’s criminal case in Cook County comes to an end, but that could take years.

Collins also claimed that Love is worried that the judge would order the money be used to pay for Kelly’s attorney fees at the end of the case.

“She’s worried she’s in jeopardy of losing that money,” Collins said in court.

However, apparently, Love intends to use that money for R. Kelly anyway.

Love told the Sun-Times that R. Kelly had already paid her back the $100,000 and that she wants the money back to give to the singer’s team for his legal costs and other expenses.

“He wasn’t able to get to his money because it was the weekend and he was the only one who had access to his account. It was basically a loan,” Love said of the $100,000.

“Why is it such a big deal? He’s already locked up,” she added. “Why can’t the bail money be returned?”

It seems that, at a time when the disgraced singer is facing scrutiny, Love remains staunch in her defense of him.

“At no point have I ever supported a pedophile,” Love said. “He has not been convicted yet. Why is it so bad that I did a favor for a friend?”
