Lupita Nyong'o's Latest Red Carpet Hairstyle Is A Work Of Art
This golden crown is fit for a queen.
Whenever Lupita Nyong’o steps onto a red carpet, we always expect the unexpected. Since her red carpet debut some years ago, the Academy Award winner has morphed into the hair chameleon of our dreams, capable of putting her own spin on virtually any look and nailing it.
This year, she’s off to a winning start with plenty of head-turning slays, including her latest at this year’s Peabody Awards, where she was on hand to present Ava Duvernay with an award for 13th. With the help of her trusty stylist Vernon Francois, Nyong’o took our breath away in a hairdo truly fit for a queen.
Instead of rocking a traditional headband across the front of her head, she took it a step further with gold twine weaved throughout her short coif–anyone else obsessed with this crown?!
Next time you get frustrated or bored with your own locks, remember that accessories can easily transform into works of art; just ask the A-list beauty muses–like Nyong’o and Janelle Monae–leading the way.
