This Beyonce Fan Finally Speaks Out After Her Beychella Reaction Went Viral
We all remember the fan at Coachella, who looked completely astonished and overcome once Beyonce hit the stage. The fan’s facial expression went viral, and we expect that she will be a meme-able artifact of pop culture for years to come.
Now 19-year-old Sydney Hardeman is speaking out about her newfound fame, saying that “it was an honor to just be a part of all of this.“
“Well first, I would want to thank [Beyonce] for even acknowledging my face,” Hardeman told OprahMag.com. “And I would thank her for such an amazing show, and for allowing me to be a part of it. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: She is the greatest performer of all time, and I stand by that statement.”
I saw myself right away and I was freaking out.
The more than two-hour Netflix film documents Bey’s iconic 2018 Coachella performance and the behind-the-scenes work over eight months with more than 250 creatives that brought it together.
Hardeman, a freshman at St. Mary’s University in Texas, said that she didn’t realized she had made the final cut of the film until she watched it early in the morning like many of us.
“I saw myself right away, and I was freaking out,” she recalled. “I immediately got out my phone and recorded the screen. That’s the video I took on Twitter that showed my reaction that…I guess kind of went viral!”
Beyonce has continued to feed the Beyhive since the release of the documentary and accompanying live album last week.
On Monday, she released her three-year-old Lemonade album on Spotify and Apple Music. She also dropped the choreography version of the “Formation” video exclusively on Tidal.
