Snoop Dogg Has Harsh Words For Trump Supporters, Especially Kanye West
Snoop Dogg may have recently reconnected with the man upstairs to release a gospel album, but that doesn’t mean he’s no longer keeping it all the way real–especially when it comes to Donald Trump.
Snoop stopped by SiriusXM’s Hip Hop Nation to chat with DJ Suss One about music, life, and how he’s managed to stay relevant almost three decades after he broke into the game.
During their chat, the conversation turned to politics and Snoop didn’t mince any words about how he feels about Trump, especially when DJ Suss One admitted that “a lot his fans get mad” when he speaks negatively about the current White House occupant.
“I don’t give a f–k,” Snoop said in a not safe for work rant. “If you like that n—a, you motherf–kin’ racist,”
“He drew the lines. He drew the motherf–kin’ lines. Before him, there were no lines. Everybody was everybody, we respected everything. We didn’t trip, but n—a when you drew the line and start pointing motherf–kers out and singling them out, nigga f–k y’all then n—a,” he argued.
While Trump certainly didn’t create racism, his presidency has seemed to embolden those who hold antiquated and divisive views to come out in the open. Since his election, hate crimes have increased, and far right white nationalist rhetoric has been given an even bigger platform.
For Snoop, anyone supporting Trump and his policies are contributing to the problem, which put fellow rapper Kanye West directly into the Dogfather’s crosshairs.
This past week, West returned to his roots in Chicago, seemingly trying to rehabilitate his image after joining the Trump train. In spite of Ye’s recent actions (for instance, he said he’s moving back to Chicago “and never leaving again”), Snoop isn’t giving him a pass for supporting Trump.
“Kanye too. Don’t forget about him too. F–k you too,” the rapper said. “Throw him in the bag, he right with them motherf–kers.”
This isn’t the first time Snoop has had something to say about West. After the College Dropout rapper went on a epic rant during one of his concerts, Snoop labeled him as “crazy” and wondered if West was under the influence of drugs.
