Pharrell Williams Reveals Why He’s Leaving ‘The Voice’
The talented star is ready to get back to making music.
Pharrell Williams has become almost as famous for his role as a judge on The Voice as he is for being a singer, rapper and producer.
However after four seasons of serving as a judge on the reality music competition show, Williams has announced he won’t be returning this upcoming season. Williams told the Today show, “Honestly, I have to work. I got so much work to do. It was so much fun and while I was doing it, helping other people was like a drug for me. I couldn’t get enough of helping them, but I have work to do, music to make and so many records.”
While we loved seeing Williams on The Voice, we’re excited to hear more music from him and the upcoming album from Justin Timberlake that Williams is also said to be working on. And considering Williams and his wife Helen Lasichanh had triplets earlier this year, we’re sure Williams deserves some quality family time, too.
Judge Alicia Keys also recently announced her departure from The Voice, but we’re looking forward to seeing new judge Jennifer Hudson on the stage next season.
